As is the case every week,Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb posts the top ranking games played via Xbox Live over the course of the previous 5 or 6 days. With a few exceptions since Halo 2 came out (hello Marcus Phoenix), the top spot has been occupied by the lovely Master Chief and his sturdy green armor, but no more!

Today, the world has ended, and Master Chief, his endless multiplayer modes and the raving fanboys have all been dethroned…by Call of Duty 4. That’s right, Infinity Ward’s modern day warfare shooter has surpassed the floaty aiming and unrealistic physics that are Halo 3 ( don’t worry Master Chief, you know I still love you).

Congratulations, CoD4! Wow, I didn’t think such a feat would come so soon.
