Sometime this year ( as of now it's February 10th), Nintendo fans will see the long delayed release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl- they might even get a demo! Nintendo confirmed today that the main character of the Pikmin series, Captain Olimar, and his faithful multi-colored Pikmins will be appearing the new fighter as playable characters. How's it work? Olimar will be the controllable fighter, with the ability to "pluck" the Pikmin from the ground- just like in the game- and have them fight alongside you. Nice.

Without Pikmin, Olimar can’t even do a Smash Attack. And the short-lived Pikmin tend to scatter. Theirs is a fated symbiotic relationship.

Who's next? There are few Nintendo characters left to add to the roster. That's the dream…the entire Nintendo catalogue available to beat up on each other.~
