For some reason, this rumor belongs with last week’s batch , these XBLA titles-in-limbo need to stick together! IGN claims they have sources confirming (rather, clarifying what was already known last year) that 3D Realms is prepping Duke Nukem 3D for an Xbox Live Arcade release. Hmm, DNF tie-in? That could be a smart move. The site says that today, sources inside the company behind Duke Nukem Forever told them directly:

Duke Nukem 3D is, in fact, scheduled to debut on Xbox Live within the next several months. And best of all, it’ll feature a four-player online cooperative mode over Live. Insiders also allege that it will boast an eight-player online deathmatch mode.

What what!? Eight-player deathmatch for a fan favorite re-hash? That, no matter how old this game is, almost guarantees this game will sell like hotcakes.
