It looks like the free ride might be over for Burnout Paradise. The game that’s thrived on the success of a nearly year-long campaign of free downloadable content updates is getting its first paid DLC pack starting in February, when Criterion Games launches the Party Pack for both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The new Party Pack lets eight players take part in a series of challeges that include Skill tests (Oncoming races and Drift challenges), Speed tests (time trials and timed challenges), and Stunt tests (jumping your car, successfully pulling off tricks). Party mode supports Hot Potato play, so you’ll only need one controller to play Party Mode.
Criterion has confirmed that the new Party Pack comes with new Trophies and Achievements for gamers to unlock, specific to the Party mode. Pricing on the pack has not yet been announced.
