Sony announced today that the latest installment in the Jak and Daxter series is set to arrive on store shelves November 3rd for the PSP Go, PSP-3000 and PlayStation 2. Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier will mark the first time the duo has shared game space on Sony’s handheld and will be their first adventure on the PlayStation 2 since Jak 3 in 2004. The Lost Frontier looks to be a combination of the series’ trademark platforming with aerial combat in five different types of aircraft.
Sony has turned to High Impact Games to develop the title. Jak and Daxter’s previous developer, Naughty Dog, has been a little busy with some Nathan Drake fellow. High Impact Games has previous experience adapting another duo of Sony mascots. They developed 2007′s Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters for the PSP and PS2, as well as last year’s Secret Agent Clank.
