In Fallout: New Vegas gamers leave the historic area of Washington D.C. and explore the seedier locale of Las Vegas. While D.C. was hit very hard during the nuclear war, Vegas managed to come through without nearly as much damage. However there are still many dangers to be had in Fallout: New Vegas with wild animals, mutants and several warring factions.
This first developer diary deals with the story of New Vegas. Instead of starting this game as a vault-dwelling baby you play as a person who has lost his memory. You are some type of courier (which is apparently all the rage today, just ask Cole MacGrath) and some shady group shoots you and leaves you for dead in order to steal your package. You then must figure out who tried to kill you and what was so important about what you were carrying.
Fallout: New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian Entertainment and is scheduled to release on October 19 in North America and October 22 in Europe.
