Mass Effect 3 has seen tons of multiplayer DLC and the first tidbit of single player DLC hit yesterday with the Extended Cut. However, diehard fans are still waiting on significant single player DLC. Bioware is known for putting out great single player content with the likes of Kasumi – Stolen Memory, Bring Down the Sky and Lair of the Shadow Broker. We may have just gotten a peek at the first big piece of content coming to Mass Effect 3.
A user on the Bioware forums has uncovered a script inside the code for the Extended Cut DLC. The script points to “The Leviathan of Dis,” a Reaper who has taken control of a mining colony, similar to how the Thorian took over colonists on Feros in the original game. Naturally Commander Shepard must save the colony and confront the Reaper. If you want to read the full script it is available here but be aware of spoilers.
Bioware has hinted that true DLC is on its way now that they’ve released the Extended Cut and all signs point to this Leviathan storyline being the next place to go in the Mass Effect universe.
