Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs blows away audience at E3

Okay by audience I mostly mean me but the crowd reaction was incredibly strong. Ubisoft just revealed a brand new, triple A IP called Watch Dogs.

Watch Dogs looks to be an open world game with a heavy influence on using technology to cause havoc and complete your goals. The gameplay demo showed a man trying to take out a target by infiltrating an art show. He got in by distracting the guard by jamming his cell phone and later we see him take control of traffic lights to cause a multiple car pile-up. He was also able to scan other people to learn information and even eavesdrop on conversations. Eventually things got heated and the man had to take out several enemies in what looked like standard third person shooter action.

To top it all off, after the man dispatched of his target the focus switched to another man on a rooftop tracking the assassin. It was made very clear that this was another player within the same game but what that means wasn’t discussed.

However you shake it, Watch Dogs looks to be incredibly promising and I cannot wait to hear more about this title.
