Now You're Wide AWake in DreamlandPosted by: Deschain |

Alan Wake has been one of those fascinating titles that seemed like it was destined for Duke Nukem Forever Hall of Lost Video Games. But in recent months there are indications that the title is real and nearing completion.
The following video interview with writer Sam Lake. While a couple of months old I hadn't seen this before and it has served to increase my desire for Alan Wake. Not in the least because Sam is the writer of two of my favorite stories in video games - Max Payne and Max Payne 2. The latter of these being in my top five stories in video games. I still want Heavy Rain, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Bioshock 2, and Mass Effect 2. But Alan Wake is now my most anticipated title for the first half of 2010. The only game I'm anticipating more in 2010 is Half-Life 2: Episode 3 and that hasn't formally been announced as a 2010 title yet.
But enough from me. Enjoy.

... I too am looking forward to AWake but its interest does not surpass Mass Effect 2. I truly believe Q1 2010 will be the death of my social life. Alan Wake will wait on reviews and an Amazon.com price cut but I will get it. Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell, and FFXIII are pre-orders. Bayonetta is a launch period purchase. At any rate, good article chief. You have a colleague waiting on Alan Wake as well. |
