That is a line uttered by Trevor Phillips, resident psychopath meth head in Grand Theft Auto V, which was easily one of the biggest games to launch this year. If you were like many of gamers out there, you traded or sold your PS3 or Xbox360 to bankroll your entrance into the Next Gen console of your choice , thus causing you to miss out on the massive epic that is GTAV.
Well have no fear, because Lazlow from Rockstar Games spoke during an interview on Opie & Anthony’s SiriusXM program revealing in not so many words that they are indeed working on Next Gen ports of GTAV. He doesn’t come out and say it, but use your detective skills & read between the lines…. What you are going to hear “Ain’t big, but it gets the job done”….
So SimCity released earlier this month and managed to pull off that rarest of tricks: upsetting absolutely everyone with next to zero redeeming features.
It was the epitome of bad business and proved, if any more proof be needed, that EA’s soul was long ago sold off for a dry undercooked burger.
But have no fear, guys! For uncle EA wants to make everything alright again. And how better else to do that than by taking a page from the pedophile big book o’ tricks and throwing presents at you until you fall willingly into their drooling jowls again.
Said box of magic consists of:
Feels magical, right?
Those who have activated their copy of SimCity should receive an e-mail with the various codes and instructions needed to break the enigma code. And maybe download the games. The opportunity to download the games will be opening on a country-by-country basis with it being available word wide come March 22.
To be eligible, you must register your copy of SimCity before March 25 (11:59 pm) and the opportunity closes on March 30 (11:59 pm), because it isn’t EA’s fault if you can’t bend to their insultingly brief time-period. It’s not like the whole crap-heap was their fault or anything.
Cynicism aside, this actually seems like a pretty neat deal, even if the inclusion of SimCity4 is absolutely hilarious. While such a gratuitous apology would never have needed to exist if publishers actually made sure games were finished before they were released, at least some efforts are being made to rectify the issue.
Even if the whole thing stinks of disingenuous laziness.

Valve has announced that they are set to release a first set of Software titles on Steam which would start a major expansion to the platform. These software titles would focus on “creativity and productivity” and would take advantage of popular Steamworks features, such as easy installation, automatic updating, and the ability to save your work to your personal Steam Cloud space so your files may travel with you.
“The 40 million gamers frequenting Steam are interested in more than playing games,” said Mark Richardson at Valve. “They have told us they would like to have more of their software on Steam, so this expansion is in response to those customer requests.”
A leak on the Steam mobile app in July listed a slew of software features including photo editing, audio production, design and illustration, accounting, video production and more.
More Software titles will continue to be added following the September 5th launch date. Developers will be able to submit Software titles via Steam Greenlight.
