Okay, I'm serious this time.. I mean it... 2 Months, 1 Week ago
Okay guys, I know that in the past I've said time and time again that I'd be buying a PS3... Well this week I purchased one, it should come in the mail anytime between next Monday and next Wednesday..

SOOOOO, of course I have a question for you...

I've got about $100 to play with now, or $40 really because I'm going to buy one game... so what accessories should I get for my PS3? I was thinking a bluetooth headset? Or like an HDMI cable? But I need some ideas about necessities! Because my birthday is in october so I'm going to only have to have one accesorie and one game..

And if you had to pick one game single handedly that makes the PS3 great tell me that so I can buy it... Preferably with online play... MGS4 perhaps?

BTW, I love shooters and online play... If that helps...

I'd go with Metal Gear Solid 4 or Resistance: Fall of Man. I also hear that Warhawk is pretty good too.

If you have a cell phone and a bluetooth headset, don't bother wasting money on a bluetooth headset for your PS3. Most likely the one who have is compatible. IMO an HDMI cable is a must. It's like night and day.

I don't own PS3 so take with a grain or 10 of salt: HDMI? if the 360 is any indicator then hdmi will only really matter if you are playing on a 50"+ 1080p screen

headset? yes, communication with other people is the basis of online play, but as Adam stated any bluetooth set will work
Game? from what I've seen Little Big Planet is personally the most compelling

Now my question: rebuilding your pc for gaming and getting a PS3? where do you find the time bro?

Little Big Planet comes out in October, so I'll get that after my birthday...

And as for the PC and PS3 thing, I've been saving up all summer from my work money and now it's time to spend spend spend my friends ...

What up Brent, I would say get Uncharted, its fun looks good but is not multi-player.Also Rachet and Clank FTOD that game is the greatest. The multi-player is all that great so you can live without that for awhile. Buy a couple of the Arcade type games to, there are some good ones on there.....

Oh yeah, Metal Gear looks pretty and everything but your gonna have to jump through hoops just to play this game.Good luck

Hey Brent, I got an HDMI cable from an ebay store for about $5.00 and from what I've read you don't need to spend that much on a cable.

My cheap bluetooth headset works with my PS3 so look for a good deal if u don't already have one as mentioned before. Try newegg.com or slickdeals.net (I'm sure there are more.)

Gamewise if u don't already have COD4, get it!

Good luck!

I just got a ps3 2 days ago, and I can highly recommend Resistance.
The campaign is better than Halo 3's IMO (Straps on anti-flame suit) despite it being only 2 players co-op local. The story is intriguing, and the enemies are fun to fight. Uncharted will arrive at my door in 2 days, so I'm looking forward to that.
