Question for those who own a PS3 and 360 2 Months, 1 Week ago
I have had a 360 for two years now and love it. For a wedding present I am getting a PS3. i plan on mainly using it for the Blu-Ray, but there are a few games that I am somewhat interested in.

My question for you duel-owners is:
Which do you like better? Which do you think is the better system. If you primarily use the 360 for games and the PS3 for Blu-Ray like I plan to do, how is that working out for you? If you primarily use the PS3 for gaming what do you think about the 360. I'm not looking for a bashing session. I just simply want to know what people who own both think about the systems. Please try and be objective.

Thanks!

Personally I like my 360 a lot more and would jump on selling both systems for a 360 with an internal Blu-ray drive.

The PS3 is great for movies, but currently doesn't have many games I'm interested in. Maybe that will change in the future, but you're basically getting a computer the way they handle updates and everything. Xbox 360's are a lot easier to use when they're not breaking down.

Given each system's proposed lifespan of 7 and 10 years, the benefit to both is you're bound to get a game on the market you're wanting to play.

Great question.

I own the 360, PS 3, and Wii., my main console is the Xbox 360, though. Why? Simple, Xbox Live.

The ease of use that we've grown accustomed to with Live is no where to be found with the Playstation Network. I am so used to having content download in the background, or chatting with friends anytime I want to. It's tough to describe, so you'll eventually see for yourself.

This does not mean that the Playstation 3 is a bad system, hell no. I love my PS 3 because it has great build quality, plays blue ray movies, has a internet browser, and plays video games. My favorite games are Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, and Echochrome.

In the future you will be happy to own both, so enjoy and congratulations on your wedding.

I am planning on getting a PS3 in June with the realese of Metal Gear Solid 4. My main reason is also blu-ray, but I have heard many good things about the games such as Resistence and Uncharted. I still plan on haveing the 360 as my main console because of acheivements and Xbox Live.

Well i have both and I pritty much use my 360 for games and PS3 for movies since it is quieter. It works great for me but since I got my PS3 through Marriott rewards it wasn't as painful for me paying the 500 dollars. Overall the PS3 is the best Blu-Ray player you can have since it is the only one you can update.

I like having both but if I had to choose right now I'd give the 360 an edge due to superior online functionality and more exclusive titles that I want to play. With that said the PS3 is closing the gap and lately I find myself playing more PS3 games vs 360 games.

In the end if you can afford it get both as the PS3 is an excellent Blu Ray player and it does have some quality gaming titles

I am getting a ps3 when i finally move house but again i am getting it because it is the cheapest blu ray player. Although granted i can't see myself playing the ps3 more than the 360 simply because of xbl achievements etc.

I personally prefer the 360 purely because the greater power of the console. An easier and much liable gaming community than the PS3 which you cannot really interact with because of the limitations. The games are though the biggest problem resistence is a good good game but it is a five minute wonder and in the UK there was no big hype. In the UK to Blu ray is 60 dollars each which is £30. The ps3 has dissappionted me and the only real game I bought it for was mgs4 but I am not expecting much because 3 annoyed me lol.
