The ElderScrolls 4: Oblivion For The Xbox 360 7 Months, 1 Week ago
WARNING: this will be somewhat lengthy.

CONTROL SCHEME:8.7/10
Very good, after a minuete or so of playing you quickly get used to the set up. the only thing i found anoying is that you have to set the axis sensitivity perfectly otherwise it will be sluggish or hyperspeed.

GRAPHICS:10/10
Perfect, a massive improvement over Morrowind and much better than many current 360 games. Cosidering the vastness of the game the sharpness of the graphics troughout is amazing.

SOUND/SCORE: 9.5/10
The sound effects are very good but could use a tiny bit of improvement as far as the volume of them. The music is just perfect. Only complaint is that it sometimes miss ques and does the battle music when there is no danger.

MAP:10/10
Massive, you really dont know or apprechiate how expansive the map is till you play the game. You can spend hours jsut exploreing the map and not see it all. I have personally played the game over 150+ hours and still have not found everything.

REPLAY VALUE:10/10
Once you beat the main quest line you still have the various guilds wich take about 15-20 hours apeice to complete and the expansions like knights of the nine, mezhures razor, and the shivring iles all adding about another 100 hours of gameplay. Even when you do all that theres still caves, ruins and forts to explore and pillage. best of all the loot is leveled and respawns. Plus when you do all this you can make another profile and do it all again in a differnt way.

OVERALL:9.9/10
dollar for dollar this is the best game on the 360 if you figure hours of playtime VS price of the game this is the best buy for the 360.

My feel is that this is the best game out on the 360 forget halo3, gears and all the other games. this one owns them all.

Good review, on a game I love no less!

Just have a couple of points to add from my perspective.

-The leveling system needs to be nixed, or tuned down next go around. I shouldn't be able to go into any cave or dungeon without fear of death.

-Fast travel should be nixed.... Oo yeah I said it. It takes the gamer away from the beautiful majesty of this game. You can realistically fast travel everywhere and never venture very far into the wilderness, and if you don't your denying yourself a treat.

-More armor! It was almost guaranteed that no one person would have the exact same armor as you in Morrowind.

-Tweak the leveling system. The game is still fun. But a few minor skills in a certain class can keep you from ever experiencing your true potential

-Unleash Radiant AI to it's full extent please! After reading stories from the DEV's on what this powerful tool had NPC's doing when fully operational is too good to pass up.

Now don't misunderstand me and think I'm bashing the game. I'm not. I LOVE this game, and as I've stated in past threads I've spent waaaaay too much time playing it. Good review though.

I loved the fast traveling system, it came in handy so often when doing fetch quests. Of course, this is not to say that I did not do my share of wandering, I have wandered Cyrodiil for hours upon end. Perhaps Bethesda could revert to the silt strider system?

Id like to see a combination of the 2. something like you can only fast travel a certian distance then you need a strider for long distances.

I hated fast-traveling but I'll admit it does come in handy. I just feel bad for using it when I do. The Silt Striders if my canon is correct are native to the island of Morrowind... So don't look for those anytime soon

OMG do I love this game. It's so indepth and complicated and wonderful. It gives me that warm fuzzy feeling. I love the openness and even all the walking. This game is an 11 on a 1 to 10.

it's the game that god me into rpg's... Why? Achievements... Just get the difficulty slider to the left if you hate RPG's, play it like a drawler and enjoy the story... I would give it a 9 out of 10 because the missions start to annoy when you want to complete all the guilds, but that's normal i guess after more than 40 hours of gameplay...
