Pulp Fiction 9.9/10
This movie is amazing. I have seen it multiple times before and own the DVD, but it was on TV so I thought I'd just roll with it. The casting is loaded with stars (some before they even made it big), the story is witty and incredibly well thought out, and the ending....I won't spoil it for you, but you will have to see it twice.
BTW Dark Knight 11/10

Just a re-up. I just watched the Kingdom in between my last post and this one and I have to say. Wow. That movie makes you think about the world today. It's a 9.5/10 easy. I recommend that if you haven't seen it, rent it on Blu-ray or DVD.

The Dark Knight
Finally got to see it last night and it's simply excellent.
Batman is played with brooding intensity by Christian Bale, while The Joker is reinvented by the late Heath Ledger as a twitching, evil psychopath smothered in gruesome, smeared make-up.
Christopher Nolan has really put Batman back on the map - i've no idea how he's going to top this - but if anyone can, it's him.
10/10

X-Files: I Want to Believe - 3 out of 5
If you are not a fan of the show and do not know who Fox Mulder and Dana Scully are, skip the movie for now. Instead, go out and rent or buy DVDs for the TV show. First, because the TV show is a classic, and second because the movie assumes you know who the characters are and their history. It's as if Carter said, "Who cares about bringing new people into the franchise, this one is for the people who made the TV series a success." He doesn't even try to explain the history. Maybe the short run of Firefly was an advantage for Serenity - they could easily sum up what happened in the series.
Minor spoilers below
Does that mean it's a great movie if you are a fan of the show? Well, you're probably going to enjoy the movie but not love it. There are a number of inside jokes and the relationship between Mulder and Scully is as interesting as ever. But their relationship is the movie.
Sure, there's the psychic priest that is used to shine a light on their differences, and there is a case but in the overall X-Files case book, it's not one that stands out. There's really nothing here that says you have to see this movie now. It will fit as well on your TV screen as on the big screen; maybe better because it will have an even more familiar feel.
We are introduced to a number of new characters, but from the movie's villain to its anti-Mulder FBI agents they are paper thin, like typical TV episode extras. There was some opportunity to develop the priest, one of the new FBI agents, and the villain, but were left with some vague notion of the motivation of these characters (somewhat better development of the priest).
I'm sure that opening the weekend after The Dark Knight will not help I Want to Believe, but the movie just didn't seem to be made for the mass market. As such, it would have fared better as a spring release.

Lazy Sunday Movie Marathon Recap.
Sudden Impact - Dirty Harry Calahan's fourth outing would've been much more effective had it not been such a product of it's time. From the score that so completely exhibits Lalo Schiffrin's fall from genius to tha realization that this could be the only time I have ever seen a .44 automag. Story was good, execution...not so much.
The Dead Pool - Thankfully Eastwood hasn't further tarnished the series since this inexplicable entry. This plays almost entirely as though someone had a cousin with a script and they just decided to slap Dirty Harry into so it could maybe make a little money. This series should've ended after Magnum Force.
Crank - Wow. What a mess this is. A hot mess, but still a mess. I've seen Speed and Shoot 'Em Up and this mangled heap of set piece after set piece plays like the bastard offspring of the other far superior films. Not to say that there isn't any fun to be had. The live action videogame on steroids vibe and aggressive camera work made damn sure I wasn't bored. Good Sunday viewing if there absolutely nothing else on.
Gone Baby Gone - This is a performance showcase if I've ever seen one. Ben Affleck's directorial debut is a visually gorgeous portrayal of what happens in a community in the wake of a child abduction. Every actor is given their big moment with so many of the types of monologues actors dream of. Too bad so many lovingly shot moments of pain were dragged down by a muddy script that asks so many leaps of faith from the audience, that one thinks it's an olympic hurdle event. The point is a good one and the film is very thought-provoking, but I just wish the plot made me care enough about the goings-on to give such an astute directorial debut the appropriate weight.
Sudden Impact: Rent
The Dead Pool: Pass
Crank: Rent
Gone Baby Gone: Rent

The last movie I watched was Highlander: The Source.
As a huge Highlander fan in general, I wanted to cry at destruction of one of my fav series. It makes me sad to know that this is how the story of Duncan Macleod ends.

With a title like Flight of the Living Dead, how could this have gone so wrong? I'm thinking Snakes on a Plane with zombies? Where do I sign up? Awesome!
Nope. With a few recognizable C-list actors and special effects so cheap that they look like they had to have been funded on Camel Cash, there is not one redeemable thing to this movie. I'll go ahead and spoil the one genuine laugh, since it's not worth sitting through the entire movie just for this...
A man is bitten by an elderly woman zombie, only to realize she has no teeth.
Flight of the Living Dead: Pass

Watched Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. This was better than the original. I'm just not sure the cast is a good fit for their roles. Still, a solid 3 out of 5.

Deja Vu: Not Denzel Washington's best work, but a passable two hour diversion. Worth at least a rent or catching on a premium channel. 3 out of 5.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars
5/10. I'm not the biggest star wars fan, so that might explain my opinion... I found it very boring and extremely predictable.
