I have the 80gig Ipod and I think its great.Although I do like the Zunes $14.98 download all you want for a month deal.Apple needs to jump on something like that real quick.
QUOTE: -Bigger Screen
Heard of the iPod Touch? Has a quite large screen. The iPod Classic has a screen about the same size as a Zune2.0
Ipod 2.5"
Zune 80gb 3.2"
This is a bigg diff when you watch movies or podcasts for a long time.
And I'm not a Fanboy as you put it, I own a 60, and 80gb Ipod as well as a 8o gb Zune.
The reason I got the Zune was the fact that with every new Ipod they make you buy all new Accessories and add new features that could be apply to older models with a firmware update.
Fact: Micrsoft added the new features to the old Zune with a firmware update.
QUOTE: -Wireless Sync
That is a convenience, but is it really that great? The iTouch has a feature where you can buy any song wirelessly and put it on your iPod through Wi-Fi. You will need to charge your iPod Zune eventually anyway. I don't find that either of those features are necessary.
Simply Yes I like putting my Zune in the Dock by my bed and having all the podcast update as well as any new movies, or songs.
QUOTE: ]-Better Sound
That's debatable. I have listened to both and really there's no difference
Fact: To You and me its debatable, But Ultimate AV Mag, C-net, Ziff Davis, Extremetech, Tekzilla all rate it higher in audio output. And I check that Touch out its a step back from the Ipod Classic's.
I feel both are good devices and would both serve you well. Just don't buy DRM music from either store. Check out the Amazon music store first must track DRM free.
I have an iPod Nano and it sucks.
Every now and then it removes ALL of my songs, which is pretty annoying when you've just finished synchronizing it and you're off to school.
It will probably break soon, and I'll be purchasing a Zune then.
I baught the zune 30 gig a while back and my friend recently got the 80 gig new zune. Thanks to the update my menu and features are exactly the same as his. Where as if I had a nano then the new classic i pod is nothing like it so I would feel like I have an outdated machine.
