Morning.

Anyone going to check out Speed Racer today? I'm debating whether I should or not. On the one hand, I'm bored; on the other hand, it looks horrible.

Man, wish I could play Shadowrun with you guys tonight. If I find a really cheap used copy today, I'll grab it.

You could use the money you would have spent on "Speed Racer" for Shadowrun and the time you would have wasted at the movie honing your skills for tonight.

That's why I get the big bucks fellas!

Also, I am thinking about having a contest sometime in the near future. The theme will be "I wanna be just like Pherlonzo". I'm still working out the details, but there may be a meat shield component.

Happy Friday!

Tin-Best of luck again today!

Bio-Thanks for the linkage...at least G4 has some eye candy going for it (though not much else).

A saw a trailer for Speed Racer last night...*barf*. I can't believe this is the Wachowski's. It looks more like what would happen if you gave Uwe Boll a big budget.

Speaking of crappy movies, IGN posted some horrifying news today (http://movies.ign.com/articles/872/872860p1.html). It seems Donnie Darko, one of my favorite movies ever, is getting a sequel minus any involvement of Richard Kelly. I plan to stay as far away from this train wreck as possible.

Hope you all have a good day and enjoy Shadowrun tonight...I'd think about giving it a go, but there's almost no chance I'll be getting home in time.

CRAP!!

I need some advice here. I went out saw a Wii at Wal-mart and decided to get it as they're hard to find. I get home, turn on my PC and it's burnt out. It looks to be the power supply I got replaced at the end of April. I called up the store that fixed it and they said that they'll fix it as it's under warranty but if it happens again it must be a problem at home.

This led me to thinking, the PC didn't burn out until I plugged in my 360 and PS3 on the same surge protector. I would have my 360 and PC on at once, but the power on the PS3 is always turned off when not in use.

I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have any game consoles in the room as it might short out the PC again. All I have is an SDTV and only have enough room for one console.

I don't want to have to sell anything. Man this sucks! Any suggestions?

Well, I did find a nice cheap copy of Shadowrun this afternoon... so I'll see you all tonight! Time to get my teleporting elf on!

Fester, sorry, I got no advice besides what Soldier already said. I've been running my 360 and my computer on the same powerbar and haven't had any problems with it. I'm using a KVM switch to flip between the two on the same monitor... perhaps you can get a y-splitter or a switch of some sort that would allow you to plug several consoles into one TV. Not sure if those exist or not.

Or just go the Mass Effect route and start smearing omni-gel on everything until it works the way you want it to.

Pher? I agree, it's a Pher-ish (Pher-esque? Pherlonzonian?) comment, but I think you need to check who you're quoting. Or is this a Freudian slip: you think of a greased up man and think of Pher? You're sick, Mongo... sick!

While I might be sick, I'm not sick in that way. I'm just used to comments like this from Pher. Can you blame me?

Pher: YES on all counts.

yeah, it was either rooney or ronaldo, and in the end, fester said rooney looked more badass....which, if you know me at all, pretty much encapsulates the essence of Pher.....

I don't know, Pher... it strikes me as slightly homo-erotic that so many guys would want to have pictures of other guys, all of them striking manly and Olympian poses, and all sweaty and slick and no doubt stinking their musky man-stench, as their personal signatures.

<-- Implies that, though I'm really pretending to be sarcastic or just jokey, I actually do think you are all raging, flaming homosexuals.

<-- Implies that, perhaps, the first implication was itself ironic and insincere.
