Thanks Zoyd it was an interesting experience. I actually wrote Jade from the Xbox Canada website and mentioned I was looking to get more involved in the community. She's really nice and had actually invited me to last years X07 and for a sneak peak at Rainbow Six Vegas 2, but I couldn't attend. This third time, I didn't want to pass it up. It was odd as it was just myself and two Xbox representatives as a couple of other community people had to bail at last minute.

I guess I can join the 360 mother-in-law lockdown club. My in-law is staying the night and has taken over my TV watching episodes of Gossip Girl and Access Hollywood. Ugggh......

Great fun last night, Zoyd and everyone. Sorry I wasn't responding earlier, I had a bunch of friends over playing Rock Band. But what time I was there was good fun.

How many people showed up for that last night? I think I actually saw Van playing Shadowrun. I had a copy of the game yesterday at the store, but then I saw a Wii. We know how that story ends.  |

Morning and good weekend to all.
Shadowrun was a blast. It almost felt like a return to the glory days. I hadn't playing with DJ and Julian for a long time. Even Van was there. We definitely have to do this again, soon. Fester, it's too bad you don't have it anymore. If you find it cheap, grab it.
But you did get a Wii. Did you pick up any games for it yet?

Zoyd, I saw Shadowrun used at the store for $13, but went with the Wii and Mario Galaxy instead. I just plugged in the system an hour ago and am not impressed with the control so far. I haven't opened any games yet (thank God). Even with the sensor bar sensitivity lowered it feels unnatural. Decisions, decisions...

I have not seen Speed Racer yet. I was willing to cut the Wachoswki's a break on the strength of The Matrix alone but after hearing all the mediocre-to-negative reviews I think I'll just skip this one and wait for Indy to (probably) disappoint me.
Fester, good luck with the decision. I'm sure it's just a matter of getting used to it. Several million ardent fans can't all be wrong, can they?

Several million ardent fans aren't wrong if that's their thing. I personally couldn't stand the system. From the presentation to the control, it just gave me a headache. Wiil you can't please everyone. I guess I should go pickup Shadowrun then. |

I think we did start on EST, Soldier. I can never tell what time zone is each and how they differ. I just log on and hope someone is there. But yeah, I noticed you were only there for a few minutes before we called it. That sucks.
Fester, are you taking it back then? Personally, I don't have much interest in the Wii. Nintendo games, with only a few exceptions, have never been my thing, though I did like the DS Lite that I had for a while.
