Nice! I love me some Braindead! What an insane flick. I had seen this movie several years before The Lord of the Rings trilogy came out. So when it was announced that Peter Jackson would be directing those movies my head started to spin a little. I envisioned all sorts of crazy things, like Frodo plowing through the plains of Morder with a blood-belching lawnmower. Seriously, if you haven't see Braindead (aka Dead Alive), find it. It's easily the goriest, most ridiculously over-the-top zombie movie ever. It will make you ask the question: if zombies have sex, is that considered necrophilia?

Since I'am a movie buff and you are as well what do you think is gonna be the biggest Flop of 2008?

My picks would be Saw V and Speed Racer since we see how well that movie is doing.....wonder how much the budget was on that film

the biggest flop by hollywood standards is gonna be speed racer..it cost like 100 million to make versus 10 to 15 million to make saw...saw will open big and make up what it cost to make te film in the first two weeks or so..speed race might not make 100 million at the box office..time will only tell.

they should have left Saw alone after the 3rd film the 4th one was stupid but there was only 1 reason I enjoyed it. (not saying why)lol

And the franchise is just getting OLD and TIRED.....Like how they are gonna do the Spider-Man series the writer turned in a script/draft to Sony and it seems like they are gonna shoot these back to back. LEAVE SPIDEY ALONE lol the 3rd sucked eggs and your only gonna hurt the franchise.

I agree with you on spiderman..it SHOULD be over but we all know its not cause there is still alot of money to be made from this series. Now back to saw...the 4th one wasnt as good as the others but it was till better then some of the sequals i have seen. I wont mention any names :cough: Hostel 2 :Cough:. But it should be over too..but ya never know..mabey it will be really good..i know im gonna go see it.

Yeah, there's really no way to call any of the Saw movies flops. They cost next to nothing to make. After the first week, it's pure profit.

As for biggest flop of 2008, Speed Racer will probably be up there, yeah. I guess it depends on how you define "flop." I mean, Indiana Jones is gonna kill at the box office but nobody thinks it's gonna be a good movie. As far as I'm concerned, Transformers was the worst movie of last year and it made shit loads of money. So there's no accounting for taste when it comes to movie revenues.

im not gonna see it cause of the fact that its the same movie every year with different traps and different dummies that get caught lol

exactly my thoughts too. There are 2 kinds of flops...hollywood flops that dont make money. Then there is a flop that makes alot of money but has a horseshit story with horseshit acting.

yes i did see it and i was very disappointed in it.

No, I did not see Semi-Pro. As fas as I'm concerned, if Will Farrell were taken out, stoned, torn apart and eaten by dogs, shat out on a great big dung hill, and then used as fertilizer he still wouldn't have been punished enough for the "movies" he's made.

While I did not see Semi-Pro no doubt that it was a flop.

But I loved Transformers it made me like the characters all over again. I think with the Sequel getting under way in about 3 weeks or so. They will make a better movie and hopefully give the characters more depth this time around.

Personally I'm bout to go fanboy here but The Dark Knight is gonna be Hollywoods Box Office MONSTER this year. I personally guarantee that it will make the most money out of any movie this year and the NEW 007 movie in NOV will come in 2nd.

Transformer was a good movie. Supposedly Jonah Hill (SuperBad) was going to be attached but dropped out.

I don't think they needed 2 dudes tryin to grab star attention in that movie so i was sad but happy at the sametime he dropped. With the Transformers and Shia getting fun and crazy screen time the other dude would have stole the show I think he is brilliant.
I'd Love to see him do like a serious role though cause all his roles that I know of seems to be in the comedy relm.
