I don't really have favourite movies. I have favourite filmmakers. Here's my short list of favourites (and of their best films). Stanley Kubrick (A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove); David Cronenberg (Dead Ringers, Naked Lunch); David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks); Akira Kurosawa (Seven Samurai, Yojimbo); Takashi Miike (Visitor Q, Gozu); Werner Herzog (Nosferatu, Fitzcarraldo); Sergio Leone (Dollars Trilogy); P.T. Anderson (Punch-Drunk Love, There Will Be Blood); Jean-Luc Godard (Breathless); and the Coen Brothers (Fargo, Barton Fink).

Barton Fink was, for many years, my favorite movie. It's been years since I've seen it - time for a rewatch, I think.

Fargo was pretty good.
American Psycho.. wow. That movie was really well done. I mean Bale just came across as an outright psychotic person. Which in this day and age is hard to come by, most of the villains today suck.
