Animal Crossing! AND WiiSpeak was cool. I fell asleep for the rest... think I heard some music and Cowbells?

Still Nintendo will print money, just not much from me. Think TGS will be bigger for them.

I dont mean this in a disrespectful way but Nintendo seems to be running out of ideas for the motion controls.

I was amazed at how little I actually cared. There was really nothing that was interesting at all and that's really disappointing. I was waiting for a new Zelda and there was one throw-away line about it and no Kid Icarus whatsoever. For as underwhelmed I was by the MS conference, at least they had something big in their conference. Nintendo was quite a wash for me.

Wow, talk about Nintendoz (ie snoring). I think I'm going to have to start going to Triple A Titles Anonymous.

I was already feeling sick to my stomach this morning, Nintendo didn't help. Seriously, watching the man who brought us mario and zelda swing his arms about wildly to 'play' an instrument, that whole thing was disgusting. Reggie said the hardcore gamers would be happy, what with an animal crossing gamecube port upgraded with some ds features and a vid chat that you probably have to input your social security number, blood type just to use and have Nintendo secretly watching every conversation to make sure nobody gets kidnapped on the internets? No. No.

Yeah, letdown. Basically they could have announced this stuff in about 2 sentences and they managed to ruin their E3 conference. Good job.

I personally think Nintendo is relaxing a bit because they truly dont have any competition now. Look how MS is scrambling to improve their interface after Sony improved their sales.

As I said on another board, I watched all 3 and thought even though Nintendo did not reveal any big titles, the presenters looked like they were having fun which made me want to jump it. I personally thought what they are doing with the board and the coming of a speaker was really nice. Granted nothing for the hardcore gamer, but their talk obviously wasn't focused on the hardcore gamer, but getting everyone to play. What I did like about Wii Music was that you don't need anything extra besides the regular controllers. The new Wii Sports game will also no doubt sell really well. Let's also not forget about Star Wars with the Wii controller! As I said before, I think MS won, but Sony was far worse than Nintendo. Sorry Sony you lose.

I'm very unimpressed. Nothing there for the hardcore gamer.

I like the sound of the Motion Plus thing. Though they should have said more about it, a few more games etc... it got me thinking that, perhaps they didn't because it points out the short comings of the current remote - that is, its basically a light gun where you can do a few wrist gestures and thats about it.

Maybe we can finally get a 1 to 1 golf game, sword duels and whatever else.

No answer to Live or PSN, not even a new channel?

I dunno what to think about Wii Music. Pass.

Parris may be right. At this point, Nintendo may be holding stuff back simply because they don't have to do anything to sell consoles. They can watch what MS and Sony are doing and take their time about making decisions. Whether this will pay off long term remains to be seen, but right now, they're just riding the wave.

Re:Nintendo Press Conference Thread 1 Month, 1 Week ago
Nintendo Press Conference seems pretty boring, no high profile titles announced.

Although I am quite excited about the motionplus add-on to the Wiimote coz I will be getting my Wii in 2 weeks time. I played Animal Crossing Wild World quite alot on my DS so I hope Animal Crossing Wii will be good and hopefully much better than Wild World.

Very disappointed that no New Super Mario Bros 2 was announced for the DS though.

I think they are giving us everything that they have thats playable. Nintendo has no incentive to not show us things that they think will sell, this is why we have been seeing wii music for so long, they like to show almost everything that they have in the works. Perhaps they don't want to show stuff that is too early so that they don't end up with another Twilight Princess fiasco, but I really don't see what the advantage would be to holding things back.

I think Valve learned with Half-Life 2 Episode 2 to not over expose the game too early. Nintendo may not have playable versions of the next Zelda (or other major title) but that does not mean they couldn't have had playable versions of these titles. By holding stuff back I'm not implying that something is ready to ship, but that they are taking there time in development to get the best possible Zelda (again, just for example) experience they can get on the Wii.

The other thing is that E3 is not what E3 once was, and they may have decided to save major announcements for TGS. I would not at all be surprised if Nintendo or Sony or both have major reveals left for TGS.
