Bungie debuts Halo 3's "Assembly" map
What's that, you haven't heard of anything called "Assembly" in Halo 3? Oh, pfft, my mistake, that's because it wasn't called "Assembly" until now. Previosuly codenamed "Purple Reign," Bungie finally debuted the... - Read the full story

Review: Bionic Commando: Rearmed
If you ever had the opportunity to play the original Bionic Commando on the NES in 1988, you know how painfully difficult the game can be. You probably could have fed everyone in the world if you had a nickel for every time you cursed Capcom’s name.... - Read the full review
Coming out of QuakeCon 2008, id Software's newest venture, RAGE, looks pretty impressive. While we've not yet seen any of the first-person gameplay, id assures su that they will be pushing the boundaries of technology with this title...so much so that CEO John Carmack hints that it's almost built for PS3 and PC only.
Why's that? According to the man who can do no wrong in the technology world, Microsoft have vehemently refused to allow them to require a HDD for their game, which will mean that despite full Hard Drive installs (coming this Fall), the game will ship on multiple DVD9's for the Xbox 360. Yes, a first-person shooter...on multiple DVD's. They are also going to have a hard time with that, as they can't utilize the 3-disc strategy they really want. I guess you could say that in this case, Blu-ray wins out, no? Ehh, it's not all bad. Listen to the man explain it...
Uh, oops? In an interview with MTV, Don Mattrick lets it slip that Bungie's new game is indeed a new Halo title. He doesn't go into specifics on it, but does hint that it's an entirely new title and not the Peter Jackson project. The slip, unintentional or not, takes place in the last 30 seconds of the interview.
You might remember a few weeks ago, when we mentioned that Gamerscore Blog was collecting community questions for an interview with Denis Dyack, the big cheese at Silicon Knights and the brains behind their upcoming title, Too Human. That interview is now available and we're presenting it to you here. There's some cool footage of the co-op mechanics and 'serving', which is just awesome. Is it August yet?
Hitting the Xbox 360 "when the evening's draw in and it's a little bit chilly" is the long-awaited Fable 2. The game's Creative Director, Peter Molyneux, is ramping up his teasing of the game once again with this new interview from GameSpot.
Listen as he discusses the experience and gold-earning systems a bit more in-depth, as well as talking up the control scheme and how the four face buttons on the 360 controller will be used as your level up your abilities. Most interestingly, of course, is his continuous hinting at online co-op play (which for all intents and purposes is confirmed by his own hand); which will be something that will "drive everybody crazy" once he announces it, in its entirety, in the near future. Big E3 feature? Ok, you got us Peter.
At the Spring Showcase last week, Chris Paladino from the Gamerscore Blog had a chance to ask Cliffy B Cliff Bleszinski some community questions about Gears of War 2, which releases exclusively to the Xbox 360 later this year. Cliff talks about some features they've added to the sequel, and a couple they've removed as well. They also talk about inspirations in creative thinking. Check it out!
When the good folks at Gamerscore Blog came to us and wanted to know if we'd like to ask a single question of legendary video game designer Tomonobu Itagaki, head of Team Ninja, we couldn't say Yes fast enough.
Join us as we sit down with legendary Tomonobu Itagaki to find out what led to the creation of Team Ninja, and see why he's taken such a profound liking to the Xbox 360 console. OK, so that's not really a single question, but we won't tell anyone if you won't.
Talking About Games would like to thank the folks at Gamerscore Blog for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Be sure and check out other pieces of this interview at Xbox360Fanboy, GamerTag Radio, and UGO .
After Atari debuted the first gameplay footage of their new Alone in the Dark title, people had mixed reactions. Yes, it looks amazing graphically, but it looked boring as all hell. A new interview with Todd Sepian from Eden Games details the game and its combat, and to be honest, I'm a little more excited now. Having fully interactive environments, complete with realistic physics and a truly innovative inventory system seems amazing. Even the fact that they've taken cues from Resident Evil 4 with the mixing of items looks to extend playtime. Hopefully, it makes its Spring 2008 release. But something's odd... this is only on PS2, Wii, 360 and PC. No PS3 anymore? Hmm.
Fresh off of their "world exclusive" Resistance 2 cover story, the folks at Game Informer have released their first ever video interview for the title. Talking with Insomniac's Ted Price, you'll hear him babble on about the "four C's", reiterating GI's text information, and even knocking on some other games with comments like "community is not an add-on, it's an integral part of the experience".
