Unsurprisingly, Electronic Arts have revealed that they plan to release a spin-off to one of their new IP's, slightly before they release the true sequel. Last year's Tony Hawk-killer, skate, is being released on the Wii and DS later this year as skate it. Leaked by those crazy guys at IGN last month, we now have the first batch of screenshots and a Q&A for the downgraded port, and it doesn't look half bad.

While the DS verison of the game is going to utilize the touch screen, the Wii version will incorporate both the motion controller, and the Wii Fit balance baord for the skateboard controls. You know, because neither have the ability to "truly" use a dual-analogue scheme, even though you can use the GameCube and Classic controllers on Wii. The official announcement is coming during EA's pre-E3 press event next week, so stay tuned. In the meantime, head over to IGN for an interview with executive producer, Scott Blackwood.
