"Very suspicious", I heard a lot of people whisper rather loudly last week when someone "supposedly" obtained a list detailing the alleged Spring Update features for the Xbox 360, apparently from someone inside Microsoft no less. PR denied, fanboys cried and complained, and hell almost froze over. Well, ok, maybe that last one was a tad overexaggerated. Anyway...Major Nelson and E have seen fit to clarify - even further - that this extravagent would-be wishlist is total, utter BS.
Sometime last week there was an amusing list that kind of made its
rounds. Now this list was a list that was allegedly
leaked from inside Microsoft and had all sorts of features for an
upcoming update. I think the official PR answer was… ‘We do not comment
on rumours and speculation, but we’ve never seen this list before...E and I can tell you, from people working on the product team,
because we don’t work on the PR team, we’ve never seen that list
before. This is not the list you’re looking for. Move along.
Oh, is that not direct enough for you? Co-host, E, added in a final death knell with:
You won’t be seeing this coming to a dashboard near you.
Cookies to the first person to call "PR spin and denial". Warm, chocolate chip cookies. And milk.
