Prepare for the apocolypse, because according to MTV, that would seem to have been the case. Speaking to Rare's Justin Cook at Microsoft's Spring Showcase event, Stephen Totilo asked if the Xbox LIVE Vision camera operability had been just the beginning for all kinds of wacky connectivity with the game, and if the oft-mentioned "Wii60" had ever crossed their mind.
Is "Viva Pinata DS” going to connect to the new “Viva Pinata” on the Xbox 360?
We got it to work, but it was too late in the development cycle,”
Cook said, presumably talking about the cycle of the DS game. If only
they’d thought of it sooner, he laughed. “It’s one of those things
where you just kick yourself.
Very interesting indeed. I'd love to see what kinds of [limited] shenanigans the DS and 360 platforms could perform together. Maybe if Nintendo and Microsoft ever do wise up and release Viva Pinata on the Wii, too, we'll get a small taste of what could have been.
