Win The Bourne Conspiracy (PS3 and Xbox 360) PDF Print E-mail
Written by Jay "Skittles" Van Beveren
Wednesday, 23 July 2008

 bourne360small.jpg bourneps3small.jpg

We're giving away a copy of The Bourne Conspiracy for both the Xbox 360 and the PS3.  Two winners, one for each platform, will walk away from this contest with a copy of the game, which features one of America's favorite amnesiacs dishing out vengeful justice.

The Bourne Conspiracy utilizes quick time events, so we want to know:  Where in your life would you like a Quick Time event?  Keep it reasonably clean in your comments, but you'll have to answer that question, and tell us which platform you're entering for, in your reply to this thread.  Otherwise, you won't be eligible.

As always, you'll want to read our contest rules before entering to make sure you're eligible to enter.  And unfortunately, this contest is only for residents of the United States.  This contest ends on Wednesday, July 30th at 3pm Pacific time, so don't wait to get your entries in.

Good luck!

I would like it whenever I accidentally choose the 360 over my girlfriend. That would help. I'd play it on the PS3.

Well since the way it usually works is if you do it correctly it pull off an amazing move and if you fail you get hurt and you want us to keep it reasonably clean I would use it on the basketball court. If I nail the combo everyone is in awe when the 5'6 white boy dunks from behind the 3 point line. If I fail well the 5'6 white boy looks like a 5'6 white boy playing basketball. My other answer would be in the bedroom but I'm worried what happens if you fail? All the sudden your best friend is with your girlfriend?

I'm like the 360 Copy.

If I had to have quicktime events in my life I'd like them when I'm talking to people I dislike. It'd be really helpful when I don't care what their saying. I'd just shout "A,A,B,Right trigger" and if I nailed it they would be happy. That would be great smilies/smiley.gif

My quicktime event would occur while I do my paper route. I can dodge kids, dogs, and traffic all while still being able to deliver the newspaper.

I'd like the 360 copy please.

A cool quick time event would be to play in a band at a talent show. If I messed up the combo, the crowd would boo us off the stage. That would be awesome.
PS3 please. You guys are awesome!

geeksandotaku said:

A really practical quick time event would be speeding at 70 MPH on the highway while just avoiding traffic.
I'd like the PS3 version.

I'd like QT Events not for myself, but for my kids. Y/Triangle for Meal Time. B/O for Bath Time. A/X for Diaper changing for my son and X/Square for Bedtime.

Oh and should I be a winner, I'll take whichever copy the other winner doesn't want.

I'd program my QTE kind of like Ghost Squad. A burglar tries to come in, and bam! triangle circle square! He's on the ground. I'd like to PS3 version. Also:^You have to specify exactly your console or it won't be eligible.

Kind of stupid, but defusing a bomb on the SWAT squad would be cool. You know, forget to press a button, and kaboom! Sudden death. Oh, and PS3 for me.

Man, there are so many things I'd like to do if I could play in quick time. I'd probably button mash to ask out a girl. That would be kind of funny, like messing up would get a slap in the face. Haha. Like many people, I'd also like the PS3 version.

Easy, I would make a rube goldberg machine with dominoes. Imagine spending a month to make it, then accidently tip over a domino. LOL. I choose the PS3 version. Also, do people really have more PS3s than XBoxs?

I can think of one really cool idea for quicktime: ollieing then landing in a rail grind. Could I have the PS3 version? and to shigerfanboy: yea, according to this giveaway, more users have a PS3. Lucky XBoxers! you have more of a chance of winning.

I could definitely use a Quick Time Event when I'm in my office supposed to be working (but I'm actually browsing through the news on TalkingAboutGames.com) and my boss walks around the corner and see's my monitor. The Quick Time Event would give me just enough time to switch to my work e-mail and seem like I had been working the whole time.

Platform of choice is 360!!

Awesome contest guys! I'd use it in football. If I win, touchdown, but if i fail, I get sacked. Really hard. Hehe. I'd like the PS3 version. Man I wish I had the XBox 360, it looks like it would be so easy to score.

I would use it during school, while dozing on a test. I would slow down time, and look at the other guy's paper. Just as the teacher comes, I would scribble down all my answers. I have both the PS3 and XBox 360, but I'd like the XBox version. I have a 25% chance of winning.

After a night from the bar, I would be creeping home at 5 in the morning. I could use the quicktime sleep on the couch, like nothing ever happened. If I failed, I would wake up the kid and get a stern lecture from the wife. Sounds good.

If I win, I'd like the PS3 version.

LilAnt 32 said:

I think I would have to use my quicktime event while shopping with the wife. "X", "Y", "B", "A", "LT", "RT", "LB" and "RB" would all be mapped to "Of course, those jeans don't make you look fat". And the "Dashboard" button would be mapped to "Escape to the car." for that one in a million time that I accidentally hit the direction pad and errantly say "You're damn skippy, they do!!!"

Yeah, the 360 version one will do just fine. smilies/cool.gif

When I go out to the bar, there are so many times I would like to use quicktime. As I unlock the door, the quicktime would start. Sneak quietly and sleep on the couch or wake up the kid and get a lecture from the wife. My son can't play it yet, but I'll take the PS3 version. It's times like these that makes me want to get and XBox 360. Haha.

What would I do with quicktime? I'd get a basketball, dribble it under my friend's legs, run past him, shoeshine the guy in front of me, then as I'm coming up, I would slam dunk that thing like a fat kids loves cake. If I failed though, I would just miss the shot. Even if I failed, it wouldn't be so bad. I'll have the PS3 version please.

I would like a quick time event for switching out games. I have a very large TV so the chairs are on the other side of the room. Maybe with this I would have the tray eject and me through a game through the air bouncing the other disc out and into its case and doing it with such force the tray would feel like it is being pushed and close itself. I'm like Natalie, I don't like changing out games. And this is off topic but the fact that we can't completely install games on the 360 and never need the disc is a bit of a bummer, but at least we can reduce load times!

And if you haven't figured out, I have a 360.

With my 14 month old daughter recently sick and having some loose stools, I figured I would want a diaper changing quick time event. Tap a to take pants/shorts and shoes off. Tap X to take in a large breath to hold for the next couple of minutes. Tap Y to quickly grab her fidgeting legs and pull them up and remove the diaper. A quick Y tap again to remain holding onto the legs, and then a Tap X to grab a warm moist wipe to begin cleanup in the diasaster zone. Another Y tap will generate the old diaper being tossed into the diaper genie, and a new diaper being placed on and finally the X tap to put the shoes, and shorts/pants back on. Failure of any of these button taps will result in either the baby falling off the changing table with your wife moving in for the kill or Poo on either your hands, clothes, or all over your baby. Either way it is a mission failure.

I would like a copy of the 360 version please.

Since i can never seem to get to work on time, i would like a QTE to wake up earlier. Alarm goes off (cue slo-mo sound to start QTE) (A) startled, eyes open up, rapidly pressing (Y) i reach for the alarm clock, (X) get up (read fall out of bed) and finally (B) walk to the bathroom to go take a shower. Any missed cues, I simply roll over, place the pillow over my head and await then inevitable pink slip

I can haz 360 pleez?

Dude, QTE would be perfect when I'm at home play video games when my mom asks what I've been doing. I'd say, studying all day! I have both PS3 and XBOX, but I already have the game. So I'll take the PS3 version for my girlfriend.
