Gamers that pre-order the retail bundles at their nearby Gamestop will get first crack at the game's beta, which launches for them on Monday, September 1st. Enjoy that last day of the Labor Day weekend with your first look at Sony's latest entry in the SOCOM series. But it doesn't stop there... Sony is also letting retail beta keys be passed on to two of your friends, giving you a chance to bring in a pair of buddies to help you make things go boom.
Qore subscribers and anyone that purchased Episode 1 of the interactive magazine get a later start into the program, with Qore beta access kicking off a week later on September 8th.
Regardless of whether you're a pre-order customer or a Qore player, the Confrontation beta ends on September 30th, giving you just a few weeks to help Sony run through their stress testing and get a feel for the game before the beta ends and you wait for the reatil launch. And unfortunately, this news only applies to North American gamers, although Sony has stated they plan to run regional betas in other locations.
