Unfortunately, we don't exactly know the reason for Activision and Infinity Ward delaying the new Variety Map Pack for Call of Duty 4, but they did. Is it a developer joke? The rumor hit the web late last night, originally thought to be an April Fool's prank, but I doubt a press release would have issued if that were the case. If only we could find that press release. Good thing for an official site, eh?

So, those of you planning on jumping online April 3rd to spend your Microsoft Points, it appears that you will now have to wait until April 10th. Not too bad, but still. Lame. No word on if the Game of the Year edition, which comes with the new map pack, is delayed as well.
