The PlayStation 3 is no stranger to a wealth of bundle / pack-in offerings as of late. We've had one for Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm, Devil May Cry 4 and Ratchet and Clank: Future to name a few, and this Spring will have seen the release of bundles for both Gran Turismo 5: Prologue and Metal Gear Solid 4. However, all of those might have just been crushed under the weight of Rockstar's gigantic foot, with the reveal of the oft-rumored Grand Theft Auto IV PS3 bundle.
Courtesy of Swedish retailer Webhallen, the first images of the new special edition SKU have appeared. If the information is correct, you'll simply be getting the gimped 40GB model, and a copy of the open-world shooter for roughly 4499kr. There is no way to tell if it comes with the old and busted SIXAXIS, or the new DualShock 3 controllers at this time. Currently, it looks like this package is scheduled to hit alongside the game's release.
Assuming Sony decides that they want to make even more money, it'd likely be £299.99 in the United Kingdom if they were to release it there as well. No confirmation of any other regions' availability is known, nor has Sony "officially" announced this yet (which would explain the "mock-up" look to the box art), so information could be subject to change. Not a bad way to combat Microsoft's press only limited edition console, is it?
