Frog blast the vant core!

Major bonus points if you know what the title of this board is from. Hint: Same thing my username is partially from.

Greetings one and all, you may call me Tycho, Ty, Tychonic, or Emmy. :D

I am mainly here because a few friends of mine have mentioned this site on more than one occasion and I decided to see what the hubbub was about. :3 I like to consider myself a pretty avid gamer, mainly enjoying my time killing zombies, aliens, monsters, and anything puts my little vidja-game life in jeopardy. I don't play WoW, I'm not much into Final Fantasy, and I suck at fighting games - but anything that isn't sports, racing, or wrestling I'm always willing to give a bit of my time to.

My current love is Fallout 3; regardless of the game no longer being updated I still love the concept and combing the wasteland endlessly. Bioshock, the Orange Box, Borderlands, the L4D games, and many other titles have their little shelf in my heart, nestled next to the ever-excellent Pokemon and Katamari franchises. You could say I'm a FPS kinda gal, but I also love action-adventure, puzzle, and the occasional quirky game as well.

In that same train of thought I work at GameStop and have for five years come October 20th. I love my job and never hate going in to work. I own a 360, PS3, Wii, and a DSi and Lite - but it's tough love for anything that isn't my 360. I'd slay a thousand men for you, my giant brick of a system! o'_o' ...not really, but I think you get the point :D I only own two PS3 games regrettably; Katamari Forever and the first Uncharted.

If you've ever attended Anime Central, chances are you will have seen the security team that I am a big part of. IRT as it were; I have made some of my best friends in this group. Next May will be my 4th year on IRT and myyyyyy.... 6th year attending the con. I'm not a HUGE anime geek anymore, but as ACen is a Japanese pop-culture convention I find my niche in making video game costumes for it ever year B)

In my spare time when I'm not working or killing zombies ((or playing vidja games in general)) I write short stories. I used to urban explore, but sadly that no longer takes a part of my life. I have a dA account for the latter and one for the former, so if either interest you feel free to ask for a link n_n

Uhh.. I have three cats and live in Wisconsin. :D It's cold. And we also have milk in bags. Take THAT, Canada!

I can't think of much else to say, so I will now open the floor for questions. :3
I am being a~*ssimilated.

Welcome to TaG Tychonic. I'm sure you'll find the bigger group here every bit as friendly and helpful as the L4D/Borderlands group of people. There's a bit of an anime contingent here though it doesn't get talked about a lot, but there's a strong single player base that loves games like Fallout 3, Mass Effect, Bioshock, etc. The majority of people here are 360 groupies, but there is a growing PS3 contingent, a little Wii/Nintendo love, and some PC snobs (raises hand :D ). So feel free to post on the forums. You may get an "I disagree" in the spirit of Uncle Gamer Radio but everyone is respectful here.

PS - Feel free to post any embarrassing facts about Vitale we can hang over his head. Not that anyone here would do that, we just like to gather information.
But that's just my opinion. I could be wrong. ;)

hey Tycho...welcome to TAG....glad you finally made it ;)

I've heard your name used by the L4D crew, especially when discussing expert runs and strategies....there's certainly a group of us that are all about the expert runs, but there are also plenty of others here that are great to play with....TAG is a great community, with lots of wonderful people to play with....

hope you feel right at home (not Wisconsin per se, but you know what I mean)
it's pronounced "fur-lonzo"

Whee, thank you gentlemen c: It is always a pleasure to immerse myself into a gaming community and not feel as if I am being baptised by fire! :D I'm lucky, this forum uses the same layout/provider that another one I use does... so I DO feel right at home. :3

Wowee, my reputation precedes me! I'll admit, I do love the expert runs, but I'm always loving to play no matter what gets done! :)

Unfortunately I don't have any facts as of yet, but maybe I'll magically learn some over the holidays!

Woo! Yeah! I'm excited to be here and meet some new friends!
